Child abuse is a global issue that shows no respect for culture, religion or geography. Asian Aid Organisation condemns any form of child abuse. We are committed to empowering our staff to ensure they are competent and well supported in meeting their protection and safeguarding responsibilities.
We believe that child abuse is preventable, so adherence to our Child Safeguarding Policy – and the ongoing monitoring and development of a child safe organisation – are important to us. We recognise that it is our responsibility to minimise the potential for child abuse where possible, and to maximise our ability to respond appropriately and immediately to allegations of child abuse.
While not directly responsible for the actions and policies of our implementing partners, Asian Aid Organisation is responsible for its own, and has a moral obligation to minimise risk to those we support through partnership with organisations who uphold these same values.
